City of San Dimas, County of Los Angeles, California, will receive up to, but not later than, the time set forth above contract bids for the award of a contract for the above project. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The City of San Dimas is soliciting quotes to provide street light poles and fixtures for a quantity of Thirty (30) CS-7767 (15' pole) streetlights from Sun Valley Lighting. The engineer's estimate for the cost of the work is $170,000 Pursuant to the Labor Code of the State of California, the Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of wages and employer payments for health and welfare, vacation, pension and similar purposes applicable to the work to be done. This rate and scale are on file with the Department of Public Works, and copies will be made available to any interested party on request. The contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and the subcontractors under him, must pay not less than these rates for this area to all workers employed in the execution of the contract. In accordance with Public Contract Code section 22300, the bidder who is awarded the contract may substitute securities for retention moneys withheld by a public agency to ensure performance under this contract. The procedure and requirements for substituting said securities is set forth in Public Contract Code section 22300 which is incorporated by this reference as set forth herein. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding and to make awards in the interest of the City. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the opening of bids.
