Danada House Landscape Restoration The work to be done for this project, consists of restoration of the existing landscape beds surrounding the Danada House within the Danada Forest Preserve. This includes the preparation of approximately 11,000 SF of landscape bed including the removal of 9 trees, installation of 3,382 plugs/containers, 113 shrubs and 30 trees. Installation of plants will include mulching as specified. Work will also include the removal of approximately 220 LF of fencing and installation of approximately 175 LF of new fencing. Also included is approximately 570 SF of paver resetting. The project also includes two alternates. Alternate 1 is for the removal of approximately 1850 SF of existing synthetic turf and installation of new synthetic turf. Alternate 2 is for the installation of a new irrigation system. This project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. The contractor shall also abide by the employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570, sec 1-7) Yes, 10% of Grand Total Bid Consideration of contract award will likely be made on [Insert day, month, year] Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids on the project and successful contract bidders are encouraged to utilize minority businesses as subcontractors for supplies, equipment, services and construction.
