Reference Number 0000357880 The County of Mercer requests bids for scrap metal removal including but not limited to commingled painted and unpainted scrap metal, cast iron, stainless steel, copper (wire coated and non-coated), and aluminum for the Public Works Department and County Agencies as required. The contract shall be awarded for a period of one (1) year with an option to extend one (1) year . Contract shall commence August of 2024. Metal is stored loose on the ground in the County, the Public Works location or throughout the Park System and may also include metal cabinets, large file rack systems, chain link fence, desks, fence posts, dividers, piping, etc. Hand loading and culling is NOT permitted. There may be debris. Removal shall be provided by the awarded contractor. Contractor will be responsible for providing containers free of seepage as well as clean up and removal of debris. Materials shall be weighed on certified scales and weight tickets shall be forwarded to the County designee office within one week from removal.
