Water Meter Replacement. r liquidated damages. Such liquidated damages shall be computed with respect to each individual laborer or mechanic, including watchmen and guards, employed in violation of the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section, in the sum of $27 for each calendar day on which such individual was required or permitted to work in excess of the standard workweek of forty hours without payment of the overtime wages required by the clause set forth in paragraph (1) of this section. Scope of Work The purpose of this RFP is to standardize all water meters to a single meter/ert combination. This mass meter replacement is an integral step that will eventually allow the Town to remotely collect readings from these meters and manage them via the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system that is currently in place. This AMI system will improve accuracy and efficiency in water meter reading collection, meter health monitoring, leak detection, etc. Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. The Town of Fort Myers Beach reserves the right, in its sole judgment in the best interest of the Town of Fort Myers Beach, to waive any informalities in any bids; to make award(s) including multiple awards; to waive any non-substantive, in Town's sole judgment, irregularity or technicality in bids received, and/or to reject any or all bids. The TOWN reserves the right to waive informalities in any bids; to reject any or all bids with or without cause; and/or to accept the bid that in its judgment will be in the best interest of the TOWN. This solicitation may be cancelled, or any or all bids or proposal may be rejected in whole or in part with or without cause. The TOWN will require a Public Construction Bond on this project.
