Kiva Wheeler Roof Replacement The roofs for the specified buildings have inherited design issues for draining and the overall age of the structures pose roofing challenges. These buildings are now at a point where they need immediate attention in order to eliminate costly damage and possible structural integrity of the buildings. Noticeable water damage can be observed in areas of interior rooms, common areas and offices. Depending upon the area, there have been instances where Otero College was unable to conduct normal business due to damage/wet areas or ceiling tiles falling out from water leakage. These damaged areas reduce the integrity of the entire facility. In addition, the Kiva is a museum which showcases extremely rare artifacts and artworks of the Native American Cultures. Much is considered to be priceless and impossible to replace. This structure has both a rounded/dome roof as well as flat multi-level roofs that pose special challenges and circumstances to draining.
