The space needs have been updated by the City since that date. Verification of that information will be the design team/architect’s initial task. It is the City’s intent that all four buildings be designed by the same design team/architectural firm in conjunction with a master study of the available sites and massing and phasing of the four facilities in a process that will include the involvement of the Owner’s Representative. The City desires that similar designs and materials be utilized for the buildings so as to create a municipal campus look. The City intends to coordinate the planning, design, and construction of all four facilities as one project on similar timelines to be completed as soon as possible but may decide to break the project into two phases if site, construction planning and logistics, or funding issues arise. Due to the current high tax burden on residents, the City does not plan to ask residents to approve additional taxes to pay for this project. In the event the project is separated into two phases, the Police and Fire Stations would be considered Phase 1, and the Service Department Facility and City Hall/Administration Building would be considered Phase 2. The existing Police and Fire Stations need to remain operational while construction is taking place. The Service Department may need to be relocated while Phase I and Phase II of the project are being built. The tentative budget for the entire project is between twenty and thirty million dollars. The objective of this RFQ is to engage a qualified person or firm to coordinate and manage the planning, design, construction, and commissioning of the four facilities, on schedule and within budget, in compliance with best management practices and legal requirements, while maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders Question Deadline 07/01/2024 at 2:00 PM ET Candidates will be contacted by the City following the City's review and evaluation of the submissions and qualifications. The highest ranked persons or firms may be invited for a follow-up interview.
