Reference Number 0000354563 The overarching purpose of this initiative is to create beautiful, engaging destinations that offer fun for all ages on two properties already owned by the Town of Johnstown. The chosen firm will capitalize on high level interests and develop master plans for: 1) Centennial Park (~61 acres) near Downtown; and 2) the Letford Park Recreation Area (~5.8 acres). These pre-construction site plans will accompany future applications for grant funding and will serve as a foundation for more detailed construction documents in the future. Master Plans for both Centennial Park and Letford Park Recreation Area should achieve the following goals: Consider existing planning documents (comprehensive plan, parks and trails plan) Solicit community feedback in multiple ways; Consider existing improvements, topography and site constraints; Provide options for programming and improvements based on feedback and feasibility and assist staff/community in prioritizing options; Provide opportunities for family type activities and adult/young adult/youth activities independently; Develop master site plan to Town specifications; and Obtain general support from the Community for the site plan and formal approval by Town Council.
