Renovation of a residential development in Waterbury, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The Work of Lead Hazard Reduction and Healthy Homes Intervention. Two separate bids required. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All bids in excess of $50,000.00 be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the Total Bid Price. The Bidder to whom a contract is offered, must furnish to the City, if that contract has a total cost greater than $50,000, a 100 percent Performance Bond with a surety company acceptable to the City and in a form acceptable to the City. In the City's sole discretion, it may also require a 100 percent Payment Bond and/or other additional security with a surety acceptable to the City and in a form acceptable to the City. Clarification Deadline: 6/12/2024 2:00 PM City reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to make an award, or to decline to make an award. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (“DAS”) under the provisions of CONN. GEN. STAT. § 4a-60g. (25% of the total state-funded value with DAS-certified Small Businesses and 6.25% of the total state-funded value with DAS-certified Minority-, Women , and/or Disabled-owned Businesses.) The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals.
