Renovation of a development in Jefferson, Colorado. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a two-story above grade development.
Reference Number 0000356850 Job Location: Tarryall Cline Ranch - 33238 Highway 285, Jefferson, CO The main ranch house at the Tarryall/Cline Ranch was built in 1928. The structure is a two-story rectangular plan wood frame building resting on a stone and concrete foundation that extends approximately 32 inches above grade. Exterior finish is stucco. The house features its original flat (sloping from south to north) and parapeted roof with a built-up asphalt felt type of roofing system with a gutter and downspouts on the north elevation. The flat roof was overframed with a large gable roof with asphalt shingles from the 1980s. The south (primary) elevation features a broad, full-width untooled fieldstone porch with a low-pitch hipped roof and right-hand stepped entry. The main ranch house is an example of the Pueblo Revival style with elements of the Spanish Eclectic style, which is very unusual and rare for a ranch house in Colorado from the first half of the 20th century. Scope of Work: Architectural Services & Construction Administration for the following SOW: 1. Foundation and Sitework Work necessary to solidify the foundation of the structure. Work has been proposed as complete replacement of east foundation as shown in the drawings with concrete footing and wall and stone veneer. Foundation along the north and west elevations would involve selective infill, stone work, and repointing but would not include concrete foundations. Installation of insulation on interior and exterior of east elevation foundation. 2. Masonry Proposed masonry would include the stone work noted above, as well as repointing and necessary work to the front chimney. An allowance has also been included to further strengthen the rear chimney. 3. Structural Supplements selective demolition of the interior flooring to provide necessary access to the foundation areas receiving work. include shoring, installation of support posts to replaced sill plates t cast into foundation installation of the ledger and plate details shown along the east wall.
