The project consists of replacement of existing water distribution system piping and associated gate valves, hydrants, water services, appurtenances, and surface restoration. The project is divided into a Base Bid and six additive alternates, totaling approximately 10,500 feet of 6- and 8-inch PVC water main. The project also includes an estimated 150 lineal feet of jack and bore operations beneath a BNSF railroad. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to Town of Belt, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance, as required, shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be submitted in writing to and must be received by Great West Engineering no later than 5:00 PM local time on June 21, 2024. Questions received after this date will not be answered. Oral questions will only be accepted at the Pre-Bid conference.
