The Town of Arnprior is accepting bids for the replacement of two (2) rink slabs at the Nick Smith Centre located at 77 James Street in Arnprior, Ontario as well as the construction of new public space, storage and staff spaces within the existing footprint. 1. The Scope of Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: -Removal of existing structures in Arena A and Arena B. -Dismantling, storage, and re-assembly of three dehumidifier support structures. -Removal of the ice rinks in Arena A and Arena B. -Removal of the silver Low-E ceiling sheets. -Replacement of Arena A exit doors. -Scraping and recoating of roof trusses. -Construction of new ice rinks in Arena A and Arena B. -Erection of new walls and installation of interior doors and glazing. -Installation of new elevator. -Upgrades to the existing spectator comfort heating system. -Installation of mechanical and electrical systems for the new structures. -Installation of interior finishes. -The Contractor must allow in the schedule for a scoreboard to be installed, by others, outside of the project scope of work. -Removal of hazardous materials completed by a licensed abatement. Each Tender shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, with proof scanned as part of the tender package. The bid bond must have a minimum value of 10% of the value of the proposal.
