Demolition, site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Verdun, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 200-unit multi-residential development; for site work for a multi-residential development; and for the demolition of a multi-residential development.
Construction of residential development including nearly 200 social social housing units in Hickson-Dupuis sector of the City at the corner of Hickson and Bannantyne streets, in the Verdun borough. The new development will also feature community and cultural space, leisure facilities and will be completed by extensive landscaping work. The project implementatin will require the demolition of the structures presntly existing on the site. TIMELINE: The City of Montreal has entered into an agreement with District Atwater for the acquisition of land in the Hickson-Dupuis sector to allow the construction of a project of nearly 200 social housing units. A specific project for the construction, modification and occupancy of a building (PPCMOI) for the Atwater District is being adopted by the Verdun borough council. The second reading and approval of the project are anticipated in summer 2024. Scope of work, budget and methods of carrying out the project are being finalized.
