Madison Street Painting Project. Site Address: Madison St (Harlem Ave -Des Plaines Ave) Site Directions: Madison Street between Harlem Avenue and Des Plaines Avenue Est. Completion Date: Aug. 30, 2024 Description: The proposed work is officially known as Madison Street Painting Project and further described as the painting of all light poles, bollards, and cabinets along Madison Street between Harlem Avenue and Des Plaines Avenue, and all necessary restoration in Forest Park, Illinois, as further described in the contract documents for the said work prepared by Christopher B. Burke Engineering, Ltd. (CBBEL). Description: This work will consist of repainting the existing Pedestrian Type light poles that are to be reused as part of this project. The Contractor shall tool clean all delaminated paint and rustspotsfrom the existing pole. Upon completion ofthe tool cleaning,the Contractor willrequestthattheOwners Representative inspectthe pole so as to access its condition. Upon approval from the Owner Representative, the Contractor will spot prime all exposed bare metal and let cure. Upon the primer curing sufficiently, the Contractor will paint the existing pole with the same RAL color paint as was existing. Contractor to coordinate with pole manufacturerfor proposed paint to be used. The repainting shall include pole bases, shafts, handhole doors, planter arms, banner arms, mast arms, luminaire housings, receptacle boxes, and covers.
