**As of August 15,2024 project was awarded to J&L Industrial Services, LLC, awarded amount is $49,185.61.** Qualified contractors to connect to the existing 6" water main on Houston Lee St., extend a 6" Class 200 PVC water main, install a 6" valve, and install two fire hydrants on Interstate Dr. This project aims to enhance the water distribution network and improve fire safety infrastructure in the area. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks: 1. Connection to Existing Water Main: o Locate and excavate around the existing 6" water main on Houston Lee St. o Install necessary fittings to connect the new extension to the existing main. 2. Extension of Water Main: o Extend the 6" Class 200 PVC water main along Interstate Dr. o Ensure proper bedding and backfill for the PVC pipe according to industry standards and municipal requirements. 3. Installation of 6" Valve: o Install a 6" valve at the specified location along the new water main extension. o Ensure the valve is accessible and operable for maintenance purposes. 4. Installation of Fire Hydrants: o Install two fire hydrants at designated locations along Interstate Dr. o Connect each hydrant to the new water main with appropriate fittings and ensure proper spacing and orientation for optimal use. Bidders must include the following in their submission: o Detailed cost estimate with a breakdown of all costs. o Project timeline with key milestones. o List of materials and equipment to be used.
