Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a civil project in Seattle, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The Port of Seattle Water Reservoir Rehabilitation project scope will include the repair and re-coating of the internal and external surfaces of the tank as well as the installation of a new cathodic protection system. The tank column base plates will also be modified, and the internal ladder will be replaced. A new tank sampling system and level gauge will be installed on the exterior. On the tank roof a new davit, handrail, and instrumentation junction boxes will be installed. A vault is located in the southwest corner of the tank yard. The back pressure valve in the vault will be replaced as well as the existing lights, switches, and receptacles. A new access ladder and sump pump will be installed in the vault. A new sump pump line be installed and discharge into a manhole located to the east of the vault. A short section of existing fencing will need to be relocated to allow access to the manhole. If a Bidder does not have on-line capability, then submit in writing, addressed to the Bid Desk, Port of Seattle, 17900 International Blvd., Suite 400 B, Sea-Tac, WA 98188. To be given consideration the request must be received seven (7) working days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids The work area is located on Host Road, East, of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, 17801 International Boulevard, City of SeaTac, WA 98168 The Engineer's estimate range for this project is $ 1,287,000.00 - $ 1,443,000.00. The WMBE utilization goal is 7% for this contract. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid security, cashier's check, money order, or surety bid bond, in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid including Alternates, if any. A bid bond shall not be conditioned in any way to modify the minimum five percent (5%) required. Surety companies executing Bid Bonds must appear on the U.S. Treasury Department's most current list (Circular 570 as amended) and be authorized to transact business in the State of Washington. In addition, the surety must be rated "A-, FSC (VI)", or higher by A.M. Best Rating Guide. Checks shall be payable to the Port of Seattle. Prior to the execution of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish Insurance Certificates, Performance Bond and a Payment Bond covering the faithful performance of the Contract and the payment of all obligations arising there under. Each Performance and Payment bond shall be in the full amount of the Contract Sum. The Port reserves the right to reject any Bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy the Port that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the contract and to complete the Work contemplated therein. The undersigned agrees to substantially complete all of the work included in this Contract within 365 calendar days as provided for in the General Conditions. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
