King County Housing Authority (KCHA) will accept bids from qualified general contractors to furnish labor, materials and necessary equipment to perform the following:Work to replace four (4) exterior stairway landings, includes but is not limited to: 1. Repair grade-level composite concrete stair landings. Provide protective barriers and safety fencing to protect the tenants and public access during construction. 2. Demolish and remove existing selected stair landings at each building, four (4) locations. 3. Shore up and protect existing structures during construction. 4. Install four (4) new concrete landings per plans and details including metal pans, flashing, liquid applied membrane and fasteners. And additonal tasks as listed in the bid docs. Question deadline: 07/02/2024 at 09:00 a.m. Questions pertaining to the bid are to be sent via email to MichelleJ@kcha.org no later than seven (7) calendar days prior to bid due date. All responses shall be in the form of Addenda. Addenda will be posted on KCHA's website. Liquidated damages will be assessed for each calendar day that the Contractor exceeds the time for completion in the amount of $250. BID GUARANTEE: Not Required. As a condition of award Performance and Payment bonds for 100% of the Contract Award Amount shall be furnished for the Work. On contracts of one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000.00) or less, at Contractors option the requirement may be waived in lieu of an additional 5% (total 10%) retainage. KCHA reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days subsequent to the opening of the bids without the written consent of KCHA.
