A. WORK ofthis CONTRACT comprises general construction of water system improvements for the Town ofFarmville in Pitt County, North Carolina. B. WORK under this CONTRACT includes, but is not specifically limited to, the construction and replacement of approximately 9,200 linear feet ofpotable water lines in various sizes, associated valves, fittings, hydrants, services, casings, drybores, appurtenances, demolition, clearing, and other WORK as shown on the PLANS or specified in the SPECIFICATIONS. C. Refer to the BID SCHEDULE, PLANS and SPECIFICATIONS for a detailed scope of WORK. 2022 Water System Improvements Contract No. 1 - Galvanized/Cast Iron Water Line Rehab The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids. Bidder Shall Be Properly Licensed Under Chapter 87, General Statutes of North Carolina. Small, Minority, Women's, and Disadvantaged Businesses and Labor Surplus Area Firms Are Encouraged to Submit Bids. This Project is Subject to the Good Faith Efforts and Goals for Participation by Minority Businesses Required by G.s.143-128.2. The Owner Has Adopted a Verifiable Ten Percent (10%) Goal for Participation by Minority Businesses in the Total Value of the Work.
