Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Machipongo, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 22,100-square-foot clubhouse / community center.

Retrofit of certain areas of roofing at the Northampton Community Center (former Northampton Middle School) located at 7247 Young St., Machipongo, VA 23405. Generally, the work will consist of providing approximately 22,100 square feet of a metal retrofit framing and roof system over a portion of the existing roofs. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bidding. All bidders are subject to and must comply with the provisions of Northampton County's Equal Employment Opportunity Policy and applicable State and Federal anti-discrimination laws. All bidders must have appropriate licensing in Virginia with either a General Contractor's license with the proper financial limits, or Specialty Roofing, plus a Specialty Metal Erector license with proper financial limits. A. The work consists in general of furnishing and installing a retrofit framing system (in most areas) and a sub-purlin system (in other areas) to include a standing seam metal roof system, over the existing roof at the listed roof site All questions pertaining to this Invitation to Bid shall be addressed in writing to Chris Thomas, Public Works Director, at cthomas@co.northampton.va.us.
