Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Arlington, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The work shall include furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment to install erosion and water pollution control; removal of existing sidewalk, pavement, and subgrade; clear and grub existing landscaping; base course placement and grading; asphalt paving; construction of storm water conveyance, water main and drainage structures; constructing curb and gutter, sidewalk, ADA curb ramps; installing illumination; installing traffic signals; installing bus shelter pads; installing pavement markings and signing; performing traffic control; and miscellaneous items necessary to complete the project. All proposals must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a certified or cashiers check, or bid bond, for not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, including additives and alternates, if any. Refer to Instructions to Bidders for more information. Should the successful Bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the specifications, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Arlington. The City of Arlington expressly reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive minor irregularities or informalities, and to further make award of the project to the lowest responsible Bidder as it best serves the interest of the City of Arlington. .
