Project: Santa Maria Air Tanker Base Water Manifold Replacement, Los Padres National Forest This solicitation amendment is provides RFI Official Responses and extends the proposal due date. The offer due date is extended to NLT August 5th, 2024. 5PM (PST). Note: No additional RFIs shall be accepted prior to the revised proposal due date. This amendment is hereby incorporated into any subsequent contract award. Failure to use the revised document and requirements revised within will result in your proposal being non-responsive. PROJECT: Santa Maria Air Tanker Base Water Manifold Replacement Los Padres National Forest This project involves the replacement and upgrade from the current diameter PVC to 6" galvanized steel and/or appropriate metal plumbing of the current backflow valve assembly including but not limited to all fittings, water meter, backflow assembly, valves, flanges, and other items associated with the present unit. In accordance with current statutes, there shall be a concrete pad around the assembly and concrete thrust blocks at the ninety-degree fittings below grade. There shall be a replacement of the 'fill side' of the pipe where the ridged section meets a flexible section. This will be at an elevation to allow the flexible pipe to be moved across an existing section of curb. There is a section of pipe near the primary supply valve, approximately 150 yards to the South-East, that has a reduced diameter. This pipe, now 4", is a formerly replaced section of the original 6" pipe. This section, approximately ten feet long and approximately three feet below grade is to be replaced with pipe equal to the rest of the plumbing. This is to insure proper volume and pressure to the retardant manufacturing and dispensing process. The project also includes replacing a section of the 2" section of pipe which is connected by a 'Tee' which is reduced from six to two inch and leads to additional plumbing fixtures. This 2" section shall remain at this size. All fixtures must adhere to current county, state and applicable statutes including but not limited to any FAA directives.
