Potlatch Road Bridge is a 1-lane - for 2-way traffic - wood-timber trestle bridge crossing Elk Creek, located on Potlatch Road approximately 1.9-miles east of Calder, Idaho. The trestle is 85-feet long and 12.5-feet wide curb-to curb, constructed in 1912. This bridge is posted for 3-ton weight limit. This project will replace the existing bridge. The proposed bridge structure will have an 18' - 2" curb-tocurb width to replace the existing single lane 11' - 0" driving width. This proposed configuration allows for a single lane 11' - 0" driving width and a 3' - 7" shoulder, on each side. The new structure will be approximately 5'-9" wider curb to curb and 20'-0" shorter than the existing bridge. The 65'-0" bridge will be a single-span bridge. The proposed horizontal alignment for the new structure and roadway will be tangent and mostly match the existing one. The vertical will also mostly match the existing alignment. A 42" Single Slope Concrete Parapet for bridge rail will be implemented on the bridge. The existing bridge is labeled as bridge key number 30092.
