The work in general consists of road improvements, curb, gutter, and sidewalk, ADA compliant ramps, striping, signage, and storm drainage improvements along Garden Avenue in the community of West Linda. Other such items or details not mentioned above that are required by the standard specifications or these special provisions shall be performed, placed, constructed or installed In accordance with the provisions of California Public Contract Code Section 3300, the County has determined that the contractor shall possess a valid Class A, General Engineering, contractor's license(s) at the time that the Contract is awarded. Failure to possess the specified license shall render the bid as non-responsive and shall act as a bar to award of the Contract to any bidder not possessing said license(s) at the time of award These wages are set forth in the General Prevailing Wage Rates for this project, available at the County of Yuba Department of Public Works, 915 8th Street, Suite 125, Marysville, California, 95901 and also available from the California Department of Industrial Relations The County reserves the right after opening the bids to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid or bid submittal, and to award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, as it may best serve the interests of the County. The estimated cost of the project is $4,400,000. Complete the work within 60 working days. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified cashier's check, or bid bond, in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price, payable to Yuba County Department of Public Works, as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. The bidder shall guarantee the total bid price for a period of 60 days from the date of the bid opening. The performance bond shall be in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price, and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and ensure against faulty or improper materials and workmanship.
