Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call civil work for a water pump station.
The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority will receive electronic Bids on the MWRA Supplier for Hayes Pump Station Rehabilitation Prior to the receipt of General Bids, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority will receive Filed Sub-Bids for the sub-trades listed below on the Supplier Portal Please Note: The only way to access the contract documents and to submit any bids for this project is to register on the Supplier Portal and join the Plan Holders' list. The work includes: includes, but is not limited to: improvements to the mechanical, civil, odor control, architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical and instrumentation systems at the Hayes Pump Station. The estimated project cost is: $28,479,000.00. Each Filed Sub-Bid must be accompanied by a current Certificate of Eligibility issued by DCAMM showing that the Sub-Bidder has been certified to participate on public construction projects and perform the class of work for which the Sub-Bid is submitted. Each Filed Sub-Bid must also be accompanied with an Update Statement. Filed Sub-Bids will be required on the following classes of work: Division Sub-trades 5 Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron 7 Roofing and Flashing 9 Painting 15 Plumbing 15 HVAC 15 Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems 16 Electrical Work This contract is subject to a 7.24% MBE and a 3.6% WBE participation requirement. Douglas J. Rice Director of Procurement Date: June 8, 2024 Project includes a full pump station upgrade, including mechanical, electrical, structural, HVAC, electrical and architectural improvements. A bypass pump station will also be constructed. Civil and Site Improvements include, but are not limited to: a. Installation of new drain manholes, stormwater pipe, infiltration swale and new catch-basins. b. Installation of a valve vault and sewer bypass connection on the existing force main. c. Installation of a new bypass pump vault and associated piping, valves, controls and appurtenances. d. Installation of a new water service line from the main in the street to the pump station . 2. Process and Mechanical Improvements include, but are not limited to: Furnishing, installing and operating bypass pumping system at the pump station. b. Removal and replacement of the existing pumps. The long-coupled end-suction pumps and all associated supports shall be removed and replaced with new long coupled end suction pumps. c. Removal and replacement of all process piping and valves including plug valves, check valves and the surge relief valve. d. Removal and replacement of gates and associated equipment including frames, actuators, wall thimbles, and guide brackets. e. Removal and replacement of the climber screen and grinder. f. Removal of existing seal water system. g. Removal and replacement of monorails . 3. Structural and Architectural Improvements include, but are not limited to: Removal and replacement of roof shingles. b. Removal and replacement of soffits and fascia boards. c. Removal and replacement of facility doors. d. Removal and replacement of facility windows. e. Removal and replacement of facility louvers. f. Removal of skylights and replacement with wood roof. g. Replacement of tile in the office and bathroom. h. Replacing sound treatment in generator room. i. Adding gypsum wall to the generator room.
