Under this Scope of Work, WMGLD (Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department) plans to remove an existing district regulator station and install a proposed District Natural Gas Regulator Station and natural gas distribution mains on Lowell Street in Wakefield, MA. The district regulator station is to be constructed within private property where WMGLD holds an easement. The property is on the south side of Lowell St. at the intersection with Coolidge Park. Scope of Work Under this Scope of Work, WMGLD (Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department) plans to install a proposed District Natural Gas Regulator Station to be constructed within Site Plan 2 adjacent to 523 Lowell Street. A. All welders performing work under this contract shall have the following minimum qualifications for covered tasks as defined by the Northeast Gas Association under this contract: 6A, 8, 44/54, & 70. B. All laborers of the cathodic protection crew performing work under this contract shall have the following minimum qualifications for covered tasks as defined by the Northeast Gas Association under this contract: 6A, 8,11/12/17 (A,C,E,F,H), 14,15A, 70, 71-MA& PJQ-10. C. All fusers shall be certified under NGA and shall be able to produce proof of certification upon request. The Project shall be construction in accordance with the project plans titled: Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department Proposed Lowell Street District Regulator Station Design Town of Wakefield Middlesex County, Massachusetts By: TRI-MOUNT Engineering Date: June 10th, 2021 Contractors bidding on this work must demonstrate to WMGLD that they are capable of performing the work, including manpower with appropriate Operator Qualification, equipment, supervision and experience.
