Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Saginaw, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work includes the removal of concrete and hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavements, concrete sidewalks, floor slabs, foundations, and in-ground hoists prior to excavation of soil contaminated with petroleum products. The contaminated soil will be transported and disposed in a Type II disposal facility. Following excavation, off site environmentally clean granular soil will be used to backfill the excavation. Site restoration will include placement of new concrete sidewalks along the west and south boundaries of the project area, grading the site to match existing grades, and surfacing the site with topsoil that will be seeded and mulched. 5% Bid Security Please do not submit online questions . Installation and removal of approximately 450 lineal feet of 6 feet tall temporary steel chain link fencing Coordinate traffic control including a lane closure on Lapeer Avenue and North 6th Avenue, and sidewalk closure adjacent to site. Remove and dispose of concrete slab, foundations, and in-ground hoists associated with the former building. Clean, remove, transport, and dispose of potential underground storage tanks (USTs) below the former building. Sawcut, removal, and disposal of approximately 400 tons of hot mix asphalt (HMA), concrete pavement and concrete sidewalk at a licensed Type II disposal facility or recycling facility. Cut, plug/cap, and abandon onsite utilities encountered during removal of concrete slab and foundation of the former building and/or during excavation. Excavation, removal, and disposal of approximately 5,000 tons of contaminated soil at a licensed Type II disposal facility. Management and disposal of approximately 70,000 gallons of non-hazardous impacted groundwater at a licensed disposal facility. Placement and compaction of approximately 5,100 tons of MDOT Class II sand. Placement of approximately 25 cubic yards of Portland Cement concrete pavement sidewalk along the west and south sides of the project area. Placement and seeding of approximately 9,500 square feet of topsoil (6 inches thick). PN - 093632.00
