Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Fryeburg, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; for paving for a transportation facility; for outdoor lighting for a transportation facility; and water / sewer project.

Reconstruct Taxiways A, B, & C and Extend Runway 14-32 PHYSICAL LOCATION: Terminal Building Office, Eastern Slope Regional Airport, 210 Lyman Drive, Fryeburg, ME 04037 This project includes two schedules of work: Schedule A is the Reconstruct, Mark, Light and Sign Taxiway 'A' and 'B' (Base Bid) and Reconstruct, Mark, Light and Sign Taxiway 'C' (Additive Alternative #1). This work includes erosion control best management practices, construction safety and phasing, reclamation, unclassified excavation, paving, marking, lighting, signage, drainage, and other ancillary items as required. Schedule B is the Extend Runway 14-32 (75' x 802'). This work includes include erosion control best management practices, construction safety and phasing, clearing and grubbing, clearing, tree removal, base placement, paving, marking, lighting, drainage, and other ancillary items as required. Both schedules also include deduct alternatives that remove the base mounted electrical system and cable in conduit, and replace the items with state mounted electrical system and direct buried cable. If only the Schedule A & Schedule B Base Bid work is awarded, the contract time is 120 calendar days. The contract time for Add Alternate No. 1 (if awarded) is 21 calendar days. For award of the Base Bid and Add Alternate No. 1 the total contract time is 141 calendar days. All bids must be accompanied by a Proposal Surety (cash, certified check, treasurer's or cashier's check, Bid Bond, or other instrument as described in the Instructions to Bidders). QUESTIONS AND CONTACT WITH THE OWNER: From the time of advertising until the actual bid opening for this Contract, all prospective Bidders, Contractors, Subcontractors, and Suppliers shall direct all inquiries related to this project solely to Sydney Seney, PE, McFarland Johnson, 273 Corporate Drive - Suite 200, Portsmouth, New Hampshire 03801, 603-380-9151, sseney@mjinc.com. The deadline for submitting inquiries related to this project is June 26, 2024. A successful Bidder entering into a contract for any portion of the work included in a proposal shall provide the Owner sufficient surety in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds as outlined in the Supplemental General Provisions. The Town of Fryeburg, ME (Eastern Slope Airport Authority) will not discriminate against any bidder on the grounds of race, color, national origin (including limited English proficiency), creed, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), age, or disability in consideration for an award. MINIMUM LABOR RATES (DAVIS-BACON WAGE): All work under this project must comply with DavisBacon Act regulations as described in the Contract Documents. Federal Wage Rates are included in the Contract Documents. The right is reserved by the Town of Fryeburg, ME to reject any or all bids, to waive any formality and any and all technicalities in bids and to accept such bids as may be deemed in the best interest of the awarding agency. The Airport has an overall DBE goal of 0.3%.
