1,000,000 Gallon Spheroid Orchard Tank and 500,000 Gallon Spheroid Butterfield Tank Mixer Install and Misc. Repairs. Description: The work includes: Orchard Tank: Wet interior: Spot abrasive blast clean coating failures to a SSPC-SP10 near-white metal standard. Apply a spot two (2) coat epoxy system. The amount of repair is estimated at less than 200 sq. ft. Install a mechanical mixer (note that the wet interior is to be cleaned of sediment as part of this work). Replace the expansion joint. Overflow discharge modification. Replace the roof vent. Butterfield Tank: Install a mechanical mixer (note that the wet interior is to be cleaned of sediment as part of this work). Each tank will be drained during the work. Only one tank can be removed from service at a time with the 1,000,000-gallon tank installation to be completed first. Note that Contractor will be allowed to do work unrelated to the wet interior while the tanks are in service. The Owner will require seven (7) days to refill the 1,000,000-gallon tank and drain the 500,000-gallon tank. The 1,000,000-gallon tank must be fully back in service and samples collected and passed prior to draining of the 500,000-gallon tank.
