Site work and new construction of a recreation facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Working plans call for the construction of a recreation facility; and for site work for a recreation facility.
*As of April 07, 2025, this project is on-hold, and currently in redesign. A timeline of any kind is yet to be determined. The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: site work and new construction of a recreation facility. The Project consists of constructing a new Penguin and Sea Lion Exhibit that will provide a naturalistic habitat for the animals and an exciting, immersive and educational experience for guests. The Project will be constructed in the northeast quadrant of the Oklahoma City Zoo in the location of the prior exhibit. Project features will include opportunities for underwater viewing, elevated decks, waterfalls, touch tanks, holding areas, and life support systems. Specific scopes of work, including, but not limited to, the following: - Shotcrete and Theming - LSS (Life Support Systems) - aquatic animal water filtration systems - Water Motion Effects - LSS Automated Controls - Acrylic Viewing Panels - Animal Containment Trade Partners provide a lump sum bid for their respective scopes, and the award will be given to the lowest qualified GMP bidder. Successful bidders will contract directly with JE Dunn Construction Company per our standard subcontract template.
