For constructing the following: Paving and Parking Improvements at Tanner High School. This project involves the construction of two new parking lots and the associated grade, drain, base and pave at those lots as well as widening portions of Dowd St and the existing elementary school drop of flane. This project also consists of an add alternate scope to mill and pave the parking lot situated at the corner of Huntsville-Browns ferry Road and Sommers Rd. The total amount of uncompleted work under contract to a contractor must not exceed the amount of his or her qualification certificate. The Entire Project Shall Be Completed by SEPTEMBER 20, 2024. Contractor prequalification is not required on this project. A cashier's check or bid bond for5% of the amount bid (maximum of $10,000.00) and made payable to the Limestone County Board of Education must accompany each bid as evidence of good faith. It is not required that a contractor be licensed in order to submit a bid; however, prior to award of a contract, proper proof of all applicable licensures must be provided by the Contractor . Proof of insurance coverages of the types and amounts as set forth in the project specifications will be required of the contractor, and any and all subcontractors ,prior to beginning work. The Contractor will be required to perform work amounting to at least 30% of the total contract cost with his/her own organization . To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on complete original proposals made available by Morell Engineering. No bid documents will be distributed later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids. In accordance with Section 34-8-8.Code of Alabama as amended, "Allowners, architects, and engineers receiving bids pursuant to this chapter shall require the person, firm or corporation to include his other current license number on the bid." It also states that "...it will be necessary for him or her to show evidence of license before his other bid is considered." Bidders must comply with Executive Order No. 11246, as amended, and certify that they do not, and will not, maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. The proposed work shall be per- formed in conformity with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations. The right to reject any or all bids and to disregard any minor irregularities is reserved by the Owner.
