The District has 30 school sites including 22 elementary schools, 2 Sixth Grade centers, 4 middle schools, and 4 high schools. Other support facilities include the District football stadium, the district activities complex, the Northgate Soccer Stadium, the District administrative office, the R.B. Doolin Center for Educational Development, the Career and Technical Education Center, Early Education Center and the Joseph G. Jacobs III Education Center. - Measurement of all openings/frames where new doors will be installed. - Installation of new, wood flush doors where indicated. The finish of the new doors will match the finish of newer existing doors inside the school. The casings on some doors will need replaced. - The interior and exterior door casing must be replaced to match the existing casings inside the school. - The interior and exterior door side and head door jambs must be replaced to match the existing door jambs inside school. - The door frames and door jambs must support the weight of the new doors. The bid must include the cost to ensure the door frames and structural support will provide heavy use of the new doors for several decades. This includes the door casings/frames to be replaced with metal no lighter than 16 gauge metal. - Install new striker plates for all doors installed. Striker plates must match the existing striker plates inside the high school designated as Main. - ADMA/AWS Certified Extra Heavy Duty doors. - Lifetime warranty door - Edges (stiles) must be hardwood; not veneered - Grade A Veneer - Plain sliced red oak, factory finished. The color will of the new doors will match the finish of newer existing doors inside the high school designated as Main. - 5 Ply construction - Standard weight Grade 1 hinges for each door to be new. Three hinges will be installed on each door. Verify thickness during inspection. - Kick plates for each door 10" tall, stainless steel, 2" less dimensional door width. The final count and sizes for kick plates can be completed during the walk through.
