Saving Project...

Renovation of a water / sewer project in St Petersburg, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Summary The City of St. Petersburg, Florida is seeking the services of a qualified construction management firm interested in providing construction management services for three Water Resources Department sites, located at 3800 54th Avenue South, 7500 26th Avenue North, and 1160 62nd Avenue NE in St Petersburg, Florida. This effort anticipates a new single structure at each site to meet the demands of daily and emergency management operations and will require the demolition of existing structures to accommodate improvements. Background The existing buildings at the three water reclamation facilities have been in use for approximately 50 years and do not meet the needs for operational functionality under emergency and daily situations. The Maintenance Buildings at the Northeast Water Reclamation Facilities (NEWRF) and Northwest Water Reclamation Facilities (NWWRF) are currently provided by rental trailers and are not functional for emergency and daily operations. Emergency Operations - Operational and Maintenance staff are expected to shelter in place during hurricanes and other emergency events to oversee plant operations and address any challenges that arise. The existing buildings at the three facilities are not hurricane rated nor elevated above the flood plain or storm surge which presents serious safety concerns for our staff during these events. Additionally, the buildings are not equipped with adequate facilities (spaces for sleeping, cooking, and personal hygiene) for housing staff for prolonged periods of time. Daily Operations - The Operations Buildings were designed and constructed before Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems became common and do not have adequate space for storing and managing the computer hardware required to operate the water reclamation facilities. SCADA systems are present at each location. The intent is to phase relocation of these systems into a new operations building. Qualified firms should possess technical knowledge of SCADA systems, its integration and logistics of relocating main frames and associated components. Deadline for Questions:July 1, 2024, 3:00pm
