The scope of work includes but is not limited to performing tank maintenance to the 150,000 gallon water sphere (New Lisbon Tank). Improvements include preparation, repainting, lighting system installation, pipe insulation, and clearing blockage from existing overflow pipes. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cashier's check drawn on an incorporated bank or trust company and made payable to the Township of Pemberton, or a bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Township of Pemberton in the amount not less than ten (10) percent of the amount of the bid but in no case in excess of $20,000. Such bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. The goal of 10 percent applies to the total amount of all contracts for building, materials and equipment, or services (including planning, design and building related activities) for a construction project. The project sponsor has identified that the SED utilization goal for this project is: 10% Awards will be made only to socially and economically disadvantaged business concerns that are certified by the New Jersey Commerce, Economic Growth and Tourism Commission, the New Jersey Department of Transportation, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, New Jersey Transit or other agencies deemed appropriate by the Office as eligible minority businesses or female businesses.
