Site work and paving for a road / highway in Douglas, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Sealed bids for furnishing the FY 2025 Roadway Improvements will be received at the Douglas Municipal Center. A bid bond or certified check of five (5) percent is required. The successful bidder must provide 100% Payment and Performance bonds. This project is bid according to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39. Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Division of Occupational Safety under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 149, Sections 26 and 27G, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the contractor to obtain, as necessary, any pertinent information on Prevailing Wages for workers employed for the proposed work under this contract. The Bidder must be pre-qualified by MassDOT. The MassDOT Class of Work is Highway-Construction with an estimated bid amount of $515,024.26. Selection of the contractor will be based upon bidder qualifications, including evidence of past performance in similar projects, and bid price. The contract will be awarded to the bidder by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
