Attention: Gia Cruz Bayshore Gardens Park and Recreation District places this request for RFP'S to interested parties that are qualified and experienced to provide renovation of our hall and conference room. Your proposal will include sanding, repair, techniques for dust limitation, required clean up before room is usable, type of finish, curing time, time required before normal use, expected duration of finish, recommended maintenance. Bayshore Gardens Park and Recreation District, hereafter known as Bayshore Gardens is advertising this RFP for interested parties that are qualified and experienced to provide comprehensive explanation of best course of action to repair and refinish the hard wood flooring in our building to preserve it for longevity and prepare it for heavy traffic use Upon distribution of the RFP, all prospective applicants, and any agent, representative or person acting at the request of such prospective applicant shall be prohibited from discussing any matters related in any way to this RFP with any District Board member, officer, agent, or employee other than thru the submission of a question sent via US Mail or email to the District Office. Your question/concern will be answered with a copy of your question and the response being provided to those who have submitted a proposal as well as those who may submit a proposal. The following work and services are presented as an indication of the work that will be required under the continuing contract, but may not necessarily be all inclusive of work under this contract. 1. Proof of proper contractor licensing in the State of Florida and liability insurance must be provided naming Bayshore Gardens as the certificate holder. 2. The contractor will pay all permits associated with this job. 3. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to submit a proposal for the cost of and to advise on best course of repair to any damaged floor and or subfloor as well as soft spots that are found including but not limited to: Scope of Work a. Repair any and all damaged areas that need repair or replacement. b. Flooring in front of storage room (approximately 5'x3') c. Threshold in front of storage room d. Rear exit e. Under kitchen passthrough f. South east wall g. South wall h. After sanding fill any cracks or holes as needed i. Natural final finish j. Finish oil-based polyurethane or equivalent as advised for high traffic and longevity Optional Scope of Work a. Include a separate estimate to remove and replace baseboards (optional work) b. Include a separate estimate for attached office, est. 410sqft (This space is not subject to rental commitments for scheduling ease and may be done in conjunction with or separately) 4. Use of any sanding dust containment and recommended or required / extent of clean up for Bayshore Gardens post completion prior to hall rental. 5. Contaminants not left overnight. 6. Time required for job (in whole or in segments) 7. Curing time and time required until normal use as hall rental. 8. Itemized invoices. 9. Warranty 10. Maintenance recommendations 11. Expected longevity of finish 12. Hall is currently held open for repairs December 1st, 2024, through December 20th, 2024. 13. If added, office can be done adjacent to hall schedule or separately.
