**As of July 23, 2024, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $1,692,482.05** Public Works Committee of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Salem will receive sealed Bids for the "2021 COUNTY AID ROAD PROGRAM FOR THE COUNTY OF SALEM" in accordance with the Plans and Specifications, therefore. Bids must be submitted on standard proposal forms in the manner designed within the specifications. All Bids must be received on or before the scheduled time. Salem County is not responsible for late delivery of Bids. Late Bids will not be considered. Bids must be accompanied by a CERTIFIED CHECK for TEN PERCENT (10%) of the amount Bid, or an acceptable BID BOND (not to exceed $20,000.00). A CONSENT OF SURETY from an approved Surety Company must also be submitted with the Bid. The award of this Contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the County of Salem in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful Bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work have been provided by the County of Salem in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary State, Federal or Local permits governing the work. Right is reserved to reject all Bids received and to limit purchases to funds available, in accordance with applicable law. In lieu of dropping off Bid documents in person we strongly request you to use the US Postal System Certified Mail, "Fed Ex", "UPS" or other mail delivery service that will be able to confirm receipt of delivery.
