Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Austin, Minnesota. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
4th Street NW will be reconstructed as part of the 1-90 bridge replacement project. The existing roadway was constructed in 1971 and rehabbed in 1998. The deteriorated concrete pavement will be replaced with new concrete pavement. Sidewalks will be replaced, and handicap ramps will be installed at the intersections. Sanitary and storm sewers will be inspected to determine any necessary repairs. The water and gas mains will be upgraded as needed by Austin Utilities. Project is in City of Austin capital budget FY 2024-2028. As of September 27, 2024, per owner, construction to start Spring 2025. A general contractor has not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
