Constructing the Nagog Hill Storage Tank Upgrades. The project shall be located at 287 Nagog Hill Road in Acton, MA, at the existing Nagog Hill Storage Tank site. The project shall include installation of emergency chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) chemical injection system piping and ancillary equipment, and installation of fall prevention devices to the Nagog Hill Storage tank. The work shall also include all site restoration and miscellaneous work and cleanup necessary following the upgrades. The work of this project shall be substantially complete within 90 calendar days and ready for final payment within 90 calendar days from the date of award. For all further requirements regarding funding agency notifications, funding agency requirements, bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. The bidding and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30, Section 39M. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid for a period of thirty (30) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays after the actual date of the opening of the General Bids. The successful General Bidder must furnish 50 percent Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner.
