Old City Hall Painting Project This project entails removal of corrosion, seal leak, and paint the exterior surface of the Old City Hall building as well as painting wooden windows. The work also includes repainting steel columns, steel girders, deck soffit, fascia assembly, sunshade assembly and handrails and cleaning the metal panels and window mullions and glass of the New Civic Center building. The work, to be completed within 60 working days as more fully described in the Contract Documents as defined in the Notice inviting Bids as defined in the contract provided in Section 8, Part A, bid documents. The cost estimate for this project is $275,000.00. Liquidated Damages in the amount of $500.00 per calendar day will be assessed for failure to complete the contract work within the number of workdays specified. Bidders and their proposed subcontractors shall hold such licenses as may be required by the laws of the State of California for the performance of the work specified in the Contract Documents. Bidders bidding as the prime Contractor shall possess a valid California State Contractor's License, Classification A at the time of contract award and throughout the Contract term. The Contractor will also be required to ensure that all subcontractors working on the project are holding valid licenses suitable for their trade.
