Renovation of a residential development in Boston, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.

Department of Developmental Services Energy/Water Reduction Measures at Group Homes - Design, installation, and commissioning of carbon emission, energy, and water reduction measures at up to 12 group homes in the South East region. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. SDVOBE and VBE Benchmark. The Commonwealth encourages and monitors the participation of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises ("SDVOBE") and Veteran Business Enterprises ("VBE") on its construction projects. The benchmark for SDVOBE and VBE participation on the project is 3%. Scope of Services for the Project indicated above includes the following facilities: o 6 residenal home sites (Southeast Region) o Add-Alternates: 6 additional sites User Agency: Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Interested Companies are prohibited from communicate directly with any employee of the Facility or DCAMM except as specified in this RFP or for purposes of gathering information for the RFP. The following is an outline of the Scope of Work measures: o Replace domesc water heater with heat pump water heater o Install ground guter system o Install rooop PV solar panels o Install ERV system and ductwork o Roof shingle and guter replacement o Replace exiting windows with high efficiency windows o Replace exiting doors with high efficiency doors o Insulate ac with closed cell spray foam, R-60 or beter o Re-insulate exterior walls, add continuous exterior insulation, R-40 or beter o Replace flooring o Ceiling repair/replacement o Bathroom and WC upgrades o Interior wall and ceiling repairs o Upgrade alarm system o EV chargers o Fire suppression o Upgrade electrical service- to be sized to new HVAC/plumbing requirements o Replace boiler systems with Ground-Source heat pump system (VRF/Heat pump soluons may be considered if ground source system is determined infeasible during design) o Addional deferred maintenance items not identified o Addional facility improvement items not identified, including, but not limited to, Accessibility improvements which may be triggered by work performed according to 521CMR, Section 3.0: Jurisdiction and Section 9: Multiple Dwellings.
