Saving Project...

Renovation of an educational facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The existing access points into the school at Stair #1 (Main Entrance) and Stair #4 (Playground Access) have existing wood flooring that is aged. The waxing and refinishing has worn the floor and the existing treads on the steps. The treads no longer serve their purpose and these stair locations become a safety risk due to slippery conditions when wet when there is rain or snowfall outside, with moisture being tracked in at these entrances. These locations are the primary access points, so high volumes of foot traffic exist. The focus is the main entrance landing and stairs going up to the main level of the building.
