508-020-21 Project Description: New 2,300 square foot interstate highway rest area located in western Nebraska with information lobby, staff office, rest rooms, and ancillary maintenance area for storage of lawnmowers and snow removal equipment. Expressively designed to speak of the Nebraska landscape and agricultural heritage the project will include extensive landscaping fitting to the locale and the building will be constructed of masonry cavity wall construction with brick veneer exterior and masonry interior partitions. Expansive glass entry that looks to the interstate and the travelers that the building serves all protected by a standing seam roof system. All work shown on drawings and in specifications not specifically stated as "Work Performed by Others" (i.e. work associated with parking lot grading and paving) is part of the contract and will be paid under the bid item "Rest Area". This includes but is not limited to: All utility work for this building including power, water, and sanitary sewer; all sidewalk, landscaping, sod and sprinkler system; maintenance and repair of the access road; and all work associated with the building inside and out.
