Work shall include, but is not limited to, the replacement of approximately 1,241 water meters at properties within the Village of Voorheesville, including project coordination items. The Project has developed the following schedule for Substantial and Final Completion. Substantially Completed on or before October 25, 2024, and final completion on or before November 8, 2024. The Village of Voorheesville will award a single Prime Contract. Bids will be received on an itemized unit price basis. There will be no Pre-bid Conference. Bids should not include New York State sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work. Bids actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mailbox or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Service before such time, and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Orders No. 11246 and No. 11375 which pertains to nondiscrimination in employment.
