Site work and paving for a road / highway in Emery, Wisconsin. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Ditching; rock and stump removal; removal of spoils; leveling roadside to a 6 foot area adjacent to the road edge; seeding leveled area; and hauling gravel on the Forest Road 132 adjacent to completed work. The project is to begin approximately 2 miles south of the intersection of Forest Road 132 and Forest Road 131 on Forest Road 132 in the Town of Emery, Price County, Wisconsin, and continue south for approximately 9 miles. Bidder will: Submit bid per mile of finished road; deposit all spoils in areas designated by the town; provide traffic control that will conform to Federal and State Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices; provide a certified check payable to the Town of Emery, or a bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the maximum bid returnable after the signing of the contract; proof of financial resources to complete the project; proof of experience with similar projects; provide adequate equipment to assure continuous operation; certificate of insurance; complete all work by September 30, 2024; meet on site with a town official or employee prior to developing a bid. The Town of Emery will: in conjunction with the Forest Service, have all federal and state permits completed; make available stockpiled crushed gravel from one of 2 pits; haul some gravel in coordination with contractor; level gravel with a town grader; replace deficient culverts; provide near daily on site supervision; provide town employees with trucks if available; limit expenditures to between $170,000-$190,000. The Town of Emery reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
