Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Syracuse, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
As of September 12, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. Upstate Medical University would like the entrance and courtyard to be inviting and make a statement in accordance with the University's vision. Improvements will incorporate the following: revamp the existing sidewalks, gateway elements to differentiate between the inner and outer courtyards, lighting to include RGB capabilities, a Medical University seal, increased seating within the inner courtyard, added water feature, additional low maintenance plantings for color and texture and updates to security equipment and Accessibility Improvements. The goal is to create a new space that gives the Medical College its own identity. The University is celebrating its two founding mothers of our medical college with bronze statues. These will be located within the courtyard. Foundations and coordination of the installation will be within this project. Responses to the RFQ should describe the consultant's experience and qualifications to undertake this work as described therein. The successful firm will be required to provide evidence demonstrating that the firm and any of the firms' engineering, land surveying, architectural or landscape architectural sub-consultants, are legally authorized by the NYS Education Department to do business in NY State. All firms must also provide proof of New York State Worker's Compensation Insurance and Disability Insurance coverage. Johnson (johnsoch@Upstate.edu).The date and time for the last questions to be considered is 5:00 PM -Thursday, June 27th, 2024. All questions will be answered by 5:00 PM - Friday, June 28th, 2024. These will be issued as an Addendum. NYS Executive Law Article 15-A and University policy require campuses, and the consultants with whom they do business, to make a good faith effort to procure materials, supplies, equipment and services (including printing) from NYS certified minority- or women-owned businesses (M/WBEs) and meet University established goals for M/WBE participation in contracts. State University of New York goals are: 17% MBE participation and 13% WBE participation of the total contract value and 6% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business participation goal. State University of New York also has a goal for the Work Force participation: EEO 10% WBE and EEO 10% MBE of total work force on the project. The selected consultant will be required to comply with M/WBE requirements. The State University of New York Upstate Medical University reserves the right to reject any or all Qualification packages. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 17% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 13% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Contract term: 800 Calendar Days Location: 750 East Adams Street
