Furnishing of all labor, material and equipment for the 2024 DITCH MAINTENANCE drainage improvement project in Lorain County in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the Lorain County Stormwater District. All interested parties are welcome to attend the bid opening to be held immediately thereafter in the Lorain County Commissioners Public Hearing Room-D. The scope of work includes: ditch excavation, grading, removal of sediment, trees and obstructions, erosion control, and site restoration. The Engineer's estimate of construction cost is $446,360.00. The County intends and requires the work to be completed by December 31,2024. Document Notes: Additionally, contractors shall comply with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123. All contractors and subcontractors shall use only the classifications and wage rates set forth in the United States Department of Labor (USDOL) wage decision. Bidders may obtain official bid documents and specifications at the office of the Lorain County Purchasing, 226 Middle Ave, Elyria, Ohio between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday. Only bids prepared on the official documents obtained by the County Engineer will be accepted. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required for each set of bid documents. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Bidders are hereby notified that this project may be funded by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, and by Lorain County. Each proposal shall contain the full name or names of persons and company who submits the proposal and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked "2024 DITCH MAINTENANCE." The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, and to waive any informalities or irregularities if deemed in the best interest of Lorain County to do so.
