Reconstruction of bulkhead on Country Club Road Engineer's Estimate $800,000 to $825,000 All bid proposals must be on the form provided and must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond, on the form provided, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction, 2024 edition, as issued by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the American Public Works Association (APWA), Washington State Chapter, (Standard Specifications) as amended by the Amendments to the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions, then the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Bainbridge Island. After the date and hour set for the opening of bids, no bidder may withdraw its bid unless the award of the contract is delayed for a period exceeding 120 calendar days following the bid opening. All bidders agree to be bound by their bids until the expiration of the stated time period. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supplies, and incidentals necessary for the following major elements. The project generally consists of the repair of bulkhead wall, along 1,200 linear feet, extension of stormwater culverts, and pavement and embankment restoration as specified in the project Drawing's. The City of Bainbridge Island reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding process. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Bidders must meet the mandatory responsibility criteria required by RCW 39.04.350 and any supplemental, criteria described in the Contract Documents.
