Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers, check or bid bond payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Perth Amboy, as a guarantee that of contracts is awarded to him, and he will enter into a contract therefore. The amount so deposited shall be ten percent (10%) of the bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 The Purchasing Agent reserves the right to reject all bids if deemed in the best interest of the City of Perth Amboy to do so and his actions are subject to the approval of the Mayor and Council of the City of Perth Amboy. The City of Perth Amboy is looking for a qualified vendor(s) to furnish and install a city- wide network consisting of aerial fiber cabling and wireless communications. This project consists of a fiber opc network to be installed from the City of Perth Amboy Police Department at 365 New Brunswick Avenue to 74 total locaOons. Connected to the fiber opc backbone will be 19 city parks, 2 pump stations and 31 street intersections. The Citys goal in this project is to build a dense, sustainable fiber backbone to support current and future wired & wireless site connectivity for the benefit of multiple stakeholder applications, to include public safety, economic development, transportation and traffic management, and smart city initiatives. This project will propel the City of Perth Amboy into one of New Jerseys most advanced connected environments and create a foundation for continued network expansion.
