Site work and paving for a road / highway in Wynne, Arkansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The City of Wynne, AR is accepting sealed bids on the following: Chip Sealing, Asphalt Milling, Asphalt Overlay of the Sports Complex road. The City does not discriminate & encourages minority vendors including DBE's & women owned businesses to apply. The city has the right to refuse any/all bids. The contractor shall include all supplementary tools and equipment necessary for complete satisfactory and approved installation. Material, labor, equipment, etc used in the installation of the asphalt overlay material shall be included in the unit price bid per ton of asphalt overlay material, and there will be no additional compensation therefore. Streets will be tacked at the discretion of the Parks and Recreation Director. Various streets in Wynne have been overlaid numerous times over the past years which has produced irregular slopes in the driving lanes. In order to remedy some of the situation, we require contractors interested in bidding city street projects to have asphalt paving machines with hydraulic screed extensions which extend up to four feet and tilt up to 10 degrees. Successful bidder will overlay 1.5 inches asphalt unless otherwise specified by the Parks and Recreation Director. Successful bidder will mill and overlay streets specified by the director at a rate of 1.5 inches. The City of Wynne will retain all milling and it will be hauled to a location designated by the city
