Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Barrington, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The prevailing rate of wages for employees employed by contractors or subcontractors of building construction projects in the State of Rhode Island shall be paid wages at rates not less than those prevailing on the same type of work on similar construction in the immediate locality as indicated in RI General Law 37-13-8. All bidders are required to inform themselves fully of the conditions relating to the construction and labor under which the work will be or is now being performed and the contractor shall employ, as far as possible, such methods and means in carrying out this work will not cause interruption or interference with any other contractor. The Town of Barrington reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any minor deviations or informalities in the bids received, and to accept the bid deemed most favorable to the interest of the Town. The Town of Barrington will provide accommodations needed to ensure equal participation in all meetings. Please contact the DPW office prior to the meeting so arrangements can be made to provide such assistance. A request for accommodations can be made in writing to 84 Upland Way or by calling 401-247-1907. The Barrington Department of Public Works is accessible to the disabled.
