The Deer Park Independent School District's (DPISD) intends to establish a competitive contract for Fence and Gate installation and repair throughout DPISD on an "as needed" basis. It is the intention of DPISD to award a contract(s) to a vendor to provide the installation and repair to fences and gates through the District. The fence shall be constructed of six (6') foot black wrought iron, four. (4'), six (6') or ten (10') foot galvanized chain link as per enclosed specifications. DPISD will use these fence types as a base to award the contract. Other types of fencing may be added on an as needed basis by location during this contract. There is also a line item in the proposal for repair of both types of fence and gates as necessary. This estimate, however, should not be construed to be a guarantee of either minimum or maximum quantities as purchases are dependent upon need and available funding. The contract shall be for a period of one (1) year, from (10-1-2024)award date. with the option to renew for an additional three (4) years, if the renewal is agreed to in writing by both parties. Each renewal shall be subject to the same terms, conditions, requirements and specifications as listed herein unless noted and agreed to by both parties in writing Vendors are encouraged, after responding to the basic requirements to provide value added offerings that are potentially beneficial to the Deer Park Independent School District and that enhance the vendor position as a possible partner. American made product preferred. It is the policy of Deer Park Independent School District to award purchases on the basis of best proposal, not low proposal alone. Price, quality, service, past performance, long term cost to the District, probability of continuous availability, and any other relevant factor listed in this request for proposals being the controlling aspects. It is understood that the District reserves the right to arrive at such determination by whatever means deemed appropriate. Deer Park Independent School District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to waive any and/or all informalities and irregularities, or to accept any part of this proposal deemed to be most advantageous to the District. The District reserves the right to award to multiple vendors.
